The format of our scientific Congress is constantly undergoing changes for the better, despite the difficulties. This year, in connection with the latest events related to COVID-19, the organizing committee decided to hold the Congress for the first time in absentia on-line format – First International Interdisciplinary online Congress on head and neck diseases. Also, by the numerous requests of specialists, Live Surgery will be increased to two days (May 29 and 30) and you can watch its broadcast on-line.
The aim of the Congress is close cooperation and exchange of experience between specialists from leading clinics of the Russian Federation, Europe, Asia, Africa and America.
This year, the main focus of the Congress is otorhinolaryngology, which is actively developing both in Russia and in the world and includes otiatrics, audiology, rhinology, laryngology, vestibulology and phoniatrics.
Otorhinolaryngology is a vivid example of a specialty that closely contacts and interacts with other areas in medicine (dentistry, neurology, maxillofacial surgery, oncology, plastic surgery, rheumatology, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, radiation diagnostics, radiotherapy, ophthalmology, thoracic surgery, somnology, functional diagnostics, clinical pharmacology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, regenerative medicine, rehabilitation, etc.)
Domestic otorhinolaryngology has given Russian, Soviet and world science the prominent oncologist surgeons: I. Sendulsky, V. Olshansky, V. Pogosov and others.
Traditionally, the scientific program has been drawn up with an emphasis on both leading experts in their fields and young scientists, who are behind the future of our science. I`m sure that the VIII International Interdisciplinary Congress on Head and Neck Diseases will bring a lot of new, interesting and useful information for listeners and participants.
I also express confidence that for you the Congress will be held in a warm and friendly atmosphere!
